When someone is sick at home, they might lose their appetite. Try this Rice Porridge, I guess this is a friendly meal for their mouth and stomach . I always make this when my sons get sick or during fasting month. This is a good meal for digestion. Want to try? Check out my recipe!

Method
First, wash the rice then boil with 2/3 water. Add in salam leaf, galangal, lemon grass, star anise and spice powder (my spice powder contains nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, pepper).
Chop the garlic and union then add in to the rice. You may add ginger, too. Don’t forget to add some salt. Always stir the rice through the bottom or it will be sticky and pan footed.
I do want to call this Kanji (Acehnese rice porridge) but Kanji is rich of spice and thinner than this one and usually boiled with shrimp.
Last, add some boiled egg and sprinkle some green union on it. Now rice porridge is ready to serve. :)
