We went to see a preview last night before the official screening of La La Land. My wife had been going on about this movie for months however to me had little appeal. I have always loved the movies but to be brutally honest have never been what I consider to be a real musical fan. I always found it odd when you are watching a scene and then someones starts belching out a song and starts dancing rather odd. My distant childhood memories of this were "Top Hat "with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire , however who can forget Gene Kelly in " Singing In The Rain". I went to see La La Land to see if it lived up to all the hype it has been getting of late and all the lovies are telling us it will sweep the boards for awards. Well I went last night and thoroughly enjoyed what I saw. I thought Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone were equally good and to learn the piano from scratch and be playing within a few months is a major achievement. The story line is good, great acting from all of the cast and a superb cameo and excellent performance by John Legend La La Land does give you a kind of uplift. Thoroughly enjoyable, lovely music with a lot of pathos. Remember I have never been a real fan of Musicals so If I can enjoy it most people will love it. https://youtu.be/0pdqf4P9MB8 Video Courtesy Of You Tube http://ift.tt/eA8V8J http://ift.tt/2jtGePI
