New Hampshire Bill Seeks To Nullify Common Core

http://ift.tt/2hYWupJ ## A new bill (HB207) has been introduced in New Hampshire that is looking to end Common Core in the state. Specifically, the bill would prohibit the department of education, as well as the state board of education, from requiring any public elementary or secondary school district or school to implement the standards that are associated with the Common Core program. If the bill passes, it would effectively seek to nullify the controversial education program within that state. http://ift.tt/2iWKxiQ Aside from preventing those institutions from being able to force students to be subjected to that educational program, it will also include changes that now require the New Hampshire General Court to go ahead and approve of any future education standards before they are made. http://ift.tt/2hYHXu8 New Hampshire isn't the only state battling against Common Core standards, as that program has amassed a number of critics not only around the U.S but around the world. There are many students and parents who are against nationalized education standards as such, and they'd instead prefer it if education involved true academic choice and personal freedom. http://ift.tt/2iWFleR There are number of teachers who have spoken out against common core as well, including teachers unions positioning themselves against it, along with parents and students.
