A Winter Playground Near Sandpoint, Idaho
Having left our flip flops in Florida, it is time to think on the pleasures of winter. Here in the Pacific Northwest you can grab a sled and head down the hill, or just throw a few snowballs at your best friend. Winter is a time to enjoy nature at it's coolest.
The trees are all heavy with snow, there is beauty everywhere. Life is perfect in the winter, though maybe a little chilly at times. But all is solved with a warm coat, boots, warm socks, hat, scarf, and gloves. What more do you need? These will keep that chill at bay.
In the early morning, there are no prints. No one has walked this way. What a beautiful day!
What can be better than cousins and uncles getting together for a good snowball fight? Winter is marvelous and you need not ever get bored. There are ski resorts for those who want to ski or snowboard, you can ice fish on the lakes once they have frozen, or you can stay at home and build a snowman. There is never a dull moment in snow country.
When you get tired or too cold, gather your things and head for the house. There you can find a warm fire and a cup of hot cocoa. So if you have a chance to enjoy winter, embrace it...it is wonderful!
