One thing that is so special about winter is how clean everything is. Nothing is messy and dirty, not even a dump. Winter is magnificent in snow country.
Scenes from Lake Pend Oreille bring visions of ice skating to the brain. The lake is still not frozen solid enough to skate on, but it wont be long before there will be roped off skating rinks. Children and adults are busy dreaming for that day.
Lake Pend Oreille with a large group of ducks staying close together. The water is still not frozen, but is very cold. Soon they should leave for warmer waters.
The sun has set and soon it will be dark and even colder in the night. Greater Sandpoint is a beautiful area with lots of downtown charm, beautiful lakes, rivers, mountains and it is very close to a spectacular ski resort. So if you like winter and want to enjoy it at it's finest, consider a couple of weeks in Sandpoint during the winter season. It is amazing!
